Throughout the spring semester, a team of ten Ball State students from various disciplines within the College of Fine Arts and the College of Architecture and Planning have combined their expertise to assemble this concert series. They studied the history and architecture of our community partner, Temple Beth El in Muncie, then sought interesting architectural sites that shared some aspect of design, assembling a list of 42 potential venues. They made ten site visits to experience the architecture and to conduct acoustical tests. Students also proposed suitable musical repertoire for the performances, then helped narrow that extensive list to a viable concert roster. As the semester drew to a close, students worked to create materials and methods that will promote these public concert events to a wide audience.
